How Plugged Hair Follicles Create Hair Loss?
Men and women start losing their hair when their hair follicles become damaged, narrow, and plugged. Follicle plugging starts early when you have plenty of hair. And, this is the time you should be concern about how to stop hair loss. Most people worry about their hair loss after they start seeing their hair thinning. Unfortunately, there are not many practitioners writing articles about “stop hair loss” for people that have a full head of hair. This is the time for those people to use natural techniques that will keep their hair healthy for a long time.
Regardless, if you have a lot of hair or little, here is what you need to do to get started.
Plugged Hair Follicles
Hair follicles get plugged from within the follicle and from contaminates outside the follicle, from the scalp. So you need to work in both these areas. Testosterone is a major element in hair loss. When excess testosterone is converted to DHT by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase, DHT interferes with your hair growth by preventing nutrients to be absorbed at your hair root. In addition it causes excess sebum to accumulate in the follicle shaft and sets the stage for follicle plugging and hardening.
When you use un-natural shampoos, hair conditioners, gels, and other hair products, these products leave chemical residues on your scalp. These resides combine with dirt, dandruff, oil to form a slime that slips into the follicle and contribute to follicle plugging.
Over time this slime, that is created on your scalp, will eventually start to harden and plugs up your hair follicles. With plugged follicles, your scalp eventually becomes smooth where hair has stopped growing and balding is created.
Stop Hair Loss from Stress
Your stress level has a lot to do with your hair loss. Stress uses up lot of nutrients and depletes them, leaving very little to be captured by you hair roots. If you are under a lot of stress, you can lose up to 50% of your top hair in four weeks. If you apply good nutrition and hair care you can recover most of your hair. But you have to start a program right away.
Stop Hair Loss with Good Nutrition
The food you eat will determine what nutrients are available for your hair root. Eat a fast food diet and your hair gets little or no nutrients and you will have many other health problems.
Your hair needs a lot of B-vitamins and minerals. You can choose those foods that contain these nutrients. Use vegetables and fruits since they are high in vitamins and minerals. Use an ionic or liquid mineral supplement.
You also need CoQ10 since CoQ10 in combination with the B-vitamins gives you energy to reduce stress and to allow you to work harder without affecting your immune system.
Of course, the foods and supplements you consume are not always available for your hair. The hair is the last place nutrients go to. If you have thyroid, colon, heart, kidney, liver and other body issues, most vitamins and minerals will go there first. This leaves your hair weak and eventually will start to fall out.
Take Care of Your Hair and Stop Hair Loss
Use natural hair products that don’t have petrochemicals. And use shampoos that are formulated to dissolved and eliminate DHT. These shampoos can open up plugged hair follicles and move into the follicle to neutralize DHT. Some of these shampoos come with capsules that you can take so that they get into the blood to block the formation of DHT.
Use a good mineral and vitamin supplement that is formulated to feed your hair. Complement this with eating more fruits, vegetables and their juices. Try to drink raw juices since bottled juices have no enzymes and your body has a hard time digesting them. Make sure you concentrate on B-100, vitamin C, vitamin E, and zinc.
Watch your stress level. When you have excess stress, acknowledge that you have high stress and that you need to relax more. Learn how to relax more by using hypnosis or hemi-sync cd’s. If you use antacids for heartburn, stop using them since they reduce your ability to absorb vitamins.
There you have it. Get started using some or all of these ideas. Look around at the articles on this site and discover more things you can do.
